Fifteen-year-old Aakash BK, a resident of the rural region of Hukam-5 in Rukum, Nepal, found hope when he reached out to e-Nable Nepal, a charitable organization specializing in 3D-printed prosthetic limbs. Aakash, who came from a financially disadvantaged background, faced immense challenges in life. Having lost all his family members and his right hand amputated, he struggled daily.
Recognizing his difficult circumstances, the dedicated volunteers at e-Nable Nepal took precise measurements of Aakash’s hand and immediately began crafting a customized 3D-printed prosthetic hand, known as the Kwawu hand. Working diligently, they aimed to provide him with a functional solution that could significantly improve his quality of life.
Finally, on Jestha 18, 2080 B.S., Mr. B.K. was presented with his long-awaited 3D-printed Kwawu prosthetic hand. This moment marked a turning point in Aakash’s life, offering him newfound independence and opportunities that seemed out of reach before.
